Galaxy Curation Expands to Solana with Two New Vaults on Kamino
Galaxy Curation has expanded its presence in decentralized finance (DeFi) by launching two new vaults on Kamino, Solana's largest lending protocol. The move brings Galaxy Curation's audited risk strategies and single-asset yield management to the platform.
The firm's Kamino USDT vault targets a moderate-risk profile, spreading liquidity across multiple lending pools rather than concentrating exposure in a single protocol. This approach appeals to institutional depositors seeking clarity on their investments, providing a clearly defined risk framework, audited strategy logic, and a single asset they already hold: USDT.
Kamino's curator ecosystem is growing rapidly, with over 80 active vaults hosted on the platform. Security features include whitelisted reserves that restrict which assets can flow through each vault. Other notable curators on Kamino include Gauntlet, Hyperithm, and RockawayX, each bringing their own risk management strategies to the table.
Cumulative aggregated deposits across Kamino's vaults have reached into the hundreds of millions, with Binance Wallet users contributing $100M in deposits. The platform's native token, KMNO, also plays a role as a rewards mechanism layered on top of base lending yields.
