Galaxy Powers Staking for Morgan Stanley's Ethereum and Solana ETPs

Morgan Stanley's Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Solana Trust (MSOL) are set to offer staking capabilities, thanks to a partnership with Galaxy. The two exchange-traded products (ETPs) will use Galaxy's infrastructure to stake part of their ETH and SOL holdings, with the rewards distributed to shareholders through regular payments.

The inclusion of staking in MSSE and MSOL reflects the growing trend of network participation as part of institutional digital asset products. For proof-of-stake networks like Ethereum and Solana, staking involves committing tokens to help validate transactions and secure the network in exchange for rewards.

Morgan Stanley has not disclosed the proportion of the ETPs' holdings that will be staked or provided details on the expected shareholder distributions. Galaxy reports $2.8 billion in staked assets, covering Ethereum, Solana, and other proof-of-stake networks.
