Garlinghouse Abandons XRP Maximalism, Sees Potential in Solana

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has surprised investors by stating that he doesn't expect people to choose XRP simply because of his leadership. Instead, he recommends that investors consider multiple cryptocurrencies and hold a diverse portfolio.

In a recent event, an investor asked Garlinghouse why they should choose XRP over Solana, another popular cryptocurrency. Rather than making a case for XRP, Garlinghouse suggested buying the top five cryptocurrencies and holding them for the next five years.

Garlinghouse owns some Solana and doesn't limit his cryptocurrency exposure to just XRP. He described himself as 'bullish on a bunch of cryptos' and stated that he's not an 'XRP maximalist.'

Garlinghouse also acknowledged the potential of Solana, attributing its significant liquidity to meme coin activity on the network. He suggested that investors could hold both XRP and SOL, stating that both cryptocurrencies have the potential to perform well.
