Garlinghouse Recommends Top Five Cryptocurrencies Amid Market Uncertainty
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has given his take on the current state of cryptocurrency markets. When asked for investment advice, he kept things simple and straightforward: 'Buy the top five cryptocurrencies by market cap and hold them for the next five years.' According to him, this strategy will yield great results.
As of now, the top five cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum, Tether, BNB, and XRP. Interestingly, Ripple's own token sits inside the recommended basket. This is not surprising, given Garlinghouse's enthusiasm for his company's product.
When questioned about Solana, a rival to XRP that has been gaining traction in recent times, Garlinghouse refused to take sides. He claimed to personally own a small amount of Solana and expressed bullish sentiments towards the cryptocurrency. However, he did not view Solana as a direct competitor to XRP.
Garlinghouse emphasized his preference for a 'basket approach' over picking individual winners. This approach involves diversifying investments across established cryptocurrencies rather than betting everything on a single asset. He expects both Solana and XRP to perform well, but believes the outcome will depend on how Ripple's ecosystem develops in relation to the Solana Foundation.
