Garlinghouse: XRP and Solana Can Thrive in Crypto's Next Five Years
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has pushed back against the idea that investors must choose XRP over other major cryptocurrencies, saying he remains bullish on multiple digital assets for different reasons.
In a recent interview, Garlinghouse stated that he is not an 'XRP maximalist' and that his position puts the focus on utility rather than loyalty to a particular cryptocurrency.
XRP can serve as a bridge asset for cross-border payments, while Solana has its own strengths in terms of scalability and speed. Garlinghouse acknowledged that stablecoins could sometimes provide a more suitable solution than XRP in certain use cases.
The Ripple CEO emphasized that the value proposition of XRP is around its function, not necessarily because it is associated with Ripple. He views XRP as a potential bridge asset for cross-border transactions, but noted that a stablecoin may be better suited to solve the problem in some cases.
