Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has offered some straightforward advice for investors looking to diversify their portfolios. In an interview, he suggested that buying and holding the top five cryptocurrencies by market cap could be a simple yet effective strategy.

The top five includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, BNB, and XRP - Ripple's own token. Garlinghouse emphasized that this approach is not about picking winners or losers, but rather about spreading risk across established players in the space.

When asked to compare XRP to Solana, a rival smart contract platform, Garlinghouse declined to take sides. He revealed that he personally owns a small amount of Solana and has a bullish view on multiple cryptocurrencies for different reasons.
