Gemini Enters Stock Trading with Commission-Free Feature

Share

Gemini is expanding its services to include commission-free stock trading for eligible US users. This move positions the crypto exchange as an all-in-one financial super app, a vision shared by co-founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.

The new feature will allow users to buy and sell thousands of US exchange-listed securities alongside their crypto holdings in a single account. Gemini has partnered with Nasdaq for real-time market data and Apex Clearing Corporation for clearing and custody services.

This move puts pressure on Robinhood, which has been adding crypto features to its platform. The Winklevoss brothers see a future where users can manage their entire financial lives in one place, including equities, digital assets, derivatives, and other financial products under a single regulated roof.
