Gemini Launches HYPE Staking with 2.1% APY

Gemini has started offering staking for Hyperliquid's HYPE token, giving customers in most US states a chance to earn around 2.1% annually on their investment.

The exchange doesn't charge any transfer or redemption fees, and there is no minimum stake required. However, users from New York are excluded due to regulatory restrictions.

Hyperliquid's native token HYPE allows token holders to delegate their funds to validators who process transactions on the network, and in return, everyone involved receives a share of a pre-allocated emissions reserve.

The current staking levels on Hyperliquid's infrastructure produce between 2.1% and 2.3% APY, according to available data. Gemini is not alone in offering HYPE staking services as Kraken also introduced it in June 2026, with a tiered reward structure reaching up to 2.2% APY.
