Gemini Suffers Fourth Consecutive Quarterly Loss Amid Revenue Growth

Share

Crypto exchange Gemini reported its fourth consecutive quarterly loss in Q2 2026. The company's net loss came in at $107.7 million, despite a 37% year-over-year increase in revenue to $45.5 million.

The growth in revenue was driven by an expansion of services, credit card and staking revenue, which more than offset the decline in exchange revenue. However, trading activity weakened, causing exchange revenue to fall 38% compared to the same period last year.

Gemini's assets on the platform also dropped significantly, down 54% to $8.4 billion, partly due to lower crypto prices and institutional custody outflows. To diversify its revenue streams, Gemini is expanding into prediction markets and stock trading.
