Gen Z Investors Favor Traditional Portfolios on Binance

The youngest cohort of investors on Binance, Generation Z (Gen Z), has been observed to hold traditional and conservative investment portfolios in the crypto space. A recent report by the Binance Research Institute found that Gen Z users have low turnover rates, minimal leverage, and a preference for ETFs.

According to the data from August 12, Gen Z accounts for the lowest turnover rate among working-age groups, indicating a long-term investment approach. Their portfolios are characterized by a strong presence of unleveraged ETFs, with an increase in net stock capital inflows to 21.9% in July.

Gen Z users also exhibit a notable trend of holding onto individual stocks for extended periods, with 22% of direct stock accounts never placing a sell order. This is in contrast to the previous stereotype that Millennials are reckless with their financial management.
