Genius Group Resumes Bitcoin Buying After Court Ruling
Genius Group Limited (NYSE American: GNS) has restarted its Bitcoin accumulation strategy after a court ruling cleared the way. Between Oct. 2 and Oct. 5, 2026, the company acquired 10 Bitcoin for approximately $854,000, averaging $85,364 per BTC.
The purchases follow a U.S. Court of Appeals decision on Aug. 31, 2026, which lifted an injunction that had previously blocked Genius Group from issuing shares, raising funds, or buying Bitcoin. The company's $1.2 billion dual treasury capital plan, announced on Aug. 27, 2026, allocates $827 million to Bitcoin and $800 million to AI assets, with a goal of reaching $2 billion in total assets by fiscal year 2031.
Funding for these acquisitions will come from operating cash flow, planned issuance of perpetual preferred securities, and the company's At-The-Market Program facility. Genius Group has no plans to use debt financing or hypothecate its Bitcoin or AI stock holdings.
In addition to its Bitcoin strategy, the company holds look-through interests in major AI firms like OpenAI, Anthropic, Databricks, and SpaceX. CEO Roger James Hamilton described the recent Bitcoin purchase as a modest but significant step, signaling the company's belief in Bitcoin's next major uptrend.
