Genius Group, an education company based in Singapore, has cleared a legal hurdle to raise capital for its planned expansion of its Bitcoin and artificial intelligence treasuries. The US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit vacated a preliminary injunction that had restricted Genius' ability to issue shares, raise capital, and purchase Bitcoin.

The ruling comes as the company unveiled a five-year plan targeting an $827 million Bitcoin treasury and an $800 million AI portfolio, with total assets projected to reach $2 billion by fiscal 2031. CEO Roger James Hamilton said that Genius believes Bitcoin and AI are entering new growth cycles and intends to use permanent capital to expand exposure to both.

The company plans to issue $1.2 billion of preferred securities similar to those used by Michael Saylor's Strategy, which have a market value exceeding $13 billion. The proceeds will be divided among Bitcoin purchases, AI investments, and a cash reserve covering roughly 18 months of preferred dividends.
