Georgia Recovers Six Figures from Fake Crypto Platform Scam

A Cobb County investor lost hundreds of thousands to a fake crypto platform after being lured in by a scammer who built trust through social media.

The scammer used names of mutual acquaintances to create familiarity and convinced the victim to invest. The platform allowed small withdrawals, which gave the victim confidence to continue depositing.

However, after the victim had sunk hundreds of thousands, the site reported that everything was gone, with the perpetrator claiming the investment had disappeared.
