When buying Bitcoin in Germany, the phrase 'without fees' often gets used. However, this marketing term doesn't promise a specific price but rather refers to one line of the statement.

A recent analysis by cryptoticker.io on September 30, 2026, looked at the fee and terms pages of five providers serving German retail customers: justTRADE, finanzen.net ZERO, BISON, Kraken, and N26. The study counted which price components each provider names itself and leaves open.

The result was that only one provider, BISON, clearly discloses both the order commission and the spread, allowing users to calculate exactly how much they'll receive for their €100 investment in Bitcoin. At the other four providers, crucial information is missing.
