Ethereum's upcoming upgrade, Glamsterdam, has completed a key rehearsal test on Devnet-11. The goal of this test was to verify whether Glamsterdam's capacity expansion goals function in a real-world environment.

The test saw a significant increase in block gas limit from 60 million to 200 million, a threefold rise. This increase allows for more transactions, token swaps, and smart contract executions within a single block.

Nethermind, an Ethereum client software developer, also completed performance testing of Block-level Access Lists, one of Glamsterdam's core features. The test showed impressive results, with Nethermind processing 570.7 billion gas in just over three minutes.
