Glamsterdam Upgrade Test Faces Potential Disruptions

Ethereum developers have scheduled a test for the Glamsterdam upgrade on October 6 on the Sepolia testnet. This is to increase block gas limits to around 200 million, which should enhance network capacity.

However, they warned about potential disruptions due to fake builder identities that could win block auctions and withhold transaction data. This could freeze testnet traffic and delay upgrade validation.

The developers are working on stronger controls to identify and block malicious builders more effectively.
