Global Crypto Billionaires Revealed: Only 23 Hold More Than $1 Billion
According to a recent report by Henley & Partners, there are only 23 individuals worldwide who hold more than $1 billion in digital assets. Of these, nine have made their fortunes solely through Bitcoin.
The report, which is based on market prices as of August 31, also found that 290 people hold between $100 million and $1 billion in crypto assets, with 151 of those individuals owning Bitcoin. Additionally, there are 135,694 people holding at least $1 million in digital assets, of whom 92,272 are Bitcoin millionaires.
The global crypto market is worth $2.6 trillion, with $1.6 trillion comprised of Bitcoin. Despite recent price fluctuations, the decline from its peak in October 2025 has been relatively mild, at around 38 percent.
Henley's report also ranks countries based on their treatment of digital assets. Singapore leads for the fourth consecutive year, followed by the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong. The UAE tops the list for tax friendliness, with no tax on crypto trading, staking, or mining.
