Global Liquidity Hits New High, Analysts Expect Inflows into Assets Like Bitcoin
The global money supply has reached an all-time high of $103.66 trillion, according to Bull Theory's latest data.
This significant increase in liquidity is expected to attract more capital into assets such as stocks, gold, and Bitcoin (BTC), with prominent advocates like Anthony Pompliano and Arthur Hayes long maintaining that the cryptocurrency's growth depends on an increase in the money supply.
Data from CoinGlass shows a positive correlation between global liquidity and Bitcoin prices, although this link has weakened during the 2025-2026 bear market.
In recent weeks, Bitcoin surged to $87,000, its highest level in nearly eight months, despite a challenging macro backdrop. VanEck's Head of Digital Assets Research Matthew Sigel attributed this surge to the positive relationship between Bitcoin and the money supply, noting that M2 money supply began accelerating roughly three quarters ago.
