Gokhshtein Sees Midnight Token Following Zcash Growth Path
Crypto commentator David Gokhshtein has reiterated his bullish outlook on Midnight's native token NIGHT, suggesting that it could follow a growth trajectory similar to Zcash (ZEC).
Gokhshtein made the comment in a recent X post, saying 'NIGHT could pull a ZEC,' while highlighting both projects' different approaches to blockchain privacy.
According to him, Zcash built its reputation around private payments, while Midnight aims to bring privacy to smart contracts and decentralized applications through zero-knowledge proofs.
NIGHT surged from an intraday low of $0.03384 to $0.04452, representing a gain of 31.6%. The token later eased to around $0.04394 in the hours leading up to press time.
For perspective, if NIGHT were to replicate ZEC's 1,790% one-year gain from its current price of $0.04394, the token would reach $0.83. With a circulating supply of 16.6 billion NIGHT, that price would correspond to a market cap of about $13.78 billion.
