Goldman Catalyst Fades Fast: AVAX Price Slumps After Six-Month High

Avalanche's (AVAX) price surge to a six-month high was short-lived as the market reacted to Goldman Sachs' announcement of its $100 billion Treasury money-market fund investing in Lynq, a permissioned institutional Layer-1 built on Avalanche.

The news sent AVAX up to $11.59 and later hit an intraday high of $12.01, but it failed to hold the gains as the market sold back down to $11.16 with a net loss on the day.

Despite the compelling fundamental backdrop, including a significant increase in tokenized stock inflows and RWA market cap growth, the technicals are telling a different story.

The MACD histogram has collapsed to zero, and the Stochastic is sitting in overbought territory above 81, indicating that momentum has stalled and a short-term pullback is likely.
