Goldman Sachs Brings $105 Billion Fund to Private Avalanche Chain
The Goldman Sachs Financial Square Treasury Instruments Fund, also known as FTIXX, has been made available to qualified US firms through the settlement network Lynq, which runs on a private Avalanche chain. The fund reported net assets of around $105 billion in August.
Lynq is a platform that allows two counterparties to book cash and securities against each other without going through traditional banking channels. It was built by Arca Labs, Tassat, and tZERO, and launched in July 2025. The platform has over 30 institutional clients connected, including B2C2, Wintermute, Galaxy, FalconX, Crypto.com, and Fireblocks.
The fund is not being tokenized, meaning that it will remain in its existing structure and the register of ownership will stay where it was. Lynq serves as an additional route for access and settlement. The AVAX price jumped by around 8.8% after the announcement, but this reflects an expectation rather than a sum that has already moved.
Only qualified clients in the United States may subscribe to the fund through Lynq, and they must first be admitted by tZERO Securities and pass suitability checks. This means that private investors in Europe will not have access to the fund through Lynq, but may still be able to invest through other channels.
