Goldman Sachs is set to expand its presence in cryptocurrency-linked investment products through an agreement to purchase Neos Investments for up to $2.25 billion.

The deal, announced on August 12, 2026, will bring three options-driven income funds focused on digital assets under the umbrella of Goldman Sachs Asset Management: the Bitcoin High Income ETF (BTCI), the Boosted Bitcoin High Income ETF (XBCI), and the Ethereum High Income ETF (NEHI).

These funds do not buy bitcoin or ether outright but instead secure exposure through exchange-traded products tied to the cryptocurrencies, using options strategies to generate consistent monthly distributions for shareholders.

The largest of these funds, BTCI, holds more than $1 billion in net assets, while XBCI and NEHI have smaller but growing footprints.
