Google Chrome Malware Epidemic Hits Millions

The affected add-ons, all of which were available for download from the Chrome Web Store, were created by various developers and have collectively been downloaded millions of times.

According to a report, hackers likely created these malicious extensions with the intention of draining cryptocurrency wallets and harvesting sensitive user data.
