GPUS Surges 22% on $1.2 Billion AI Compute Deal
Hyperscale Data, the company behind the GPUS ticker, announced a significant deal on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The company signed a master services agreement to provide artificial intelligence compute and data center services at its Michigan campus.
The initial agreement covers 20 megawatts of AI compute capacity, expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2026. This represents a turning point for Hyperscale Data, which had previously focused on Bitcoin mining at the site. However, the company announced earlier this month that it would likely wind down all mining to redirect power capacity toward higher-margin AI colocation services.
The signed deal has a 10-year initial term worth over $1.2 billion and includes options to expand to 52 megawatts, potentially generating more than $3 billion in total contract revenue if fully exercised.
Shares of GPUS rose more than 22% in pre-market hours after the announcement. Analysts have noted a broader industry shift towards AI data centers, with TeraWulf and other companies repositioning their portfolios to capitalize on the trend.
