Gram Soars 15% on Telegram Integration and Technical Breakout
Toncoin, now officially rebranded as Gram (GRAM), has surged 15% in the past 47 hours due to a combination of Telegram product news and technical breakout. On September 28th, Telegram announced the introduction of a new in-app non-custodial Gram Wallet and rebranded its Walt trading app, positioning GRAM centrally within Telegram's ecosystem.
This move positions GRAM as the default money leg inside Telegram's own non-custodial wallet, tightening the link between Gram (GRAM) and Telegram's massive user base. Pavel Durov stated that Gram Wallet is already live for a limited group and will be rolled out to Telegram's billion-plus users over the following weeks.
Alongside this product news, Gram's chart structure became bullish enough that traders started treating every dip as a buy. A technical analysis piece notes that GRAM had fallen from nearly $2.90 in May to around $1.30, but then 'recently surged to $1.63, clearing its 50 and 100 day averages and now testing the declining 200 day average at $1.60.'
This technical breakout dynamics attracted leveraged traders and breakout followers on X who framed the move as the start of a larger trend rather than a quick pump. The overall crypto market was roughly flat over the same period, making it unlikely that the move is just passive correlation to Bitcoin or an altcoin basket.
