Grayscale Adds Anchorage Digital to CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF Custody
Grayscale’s CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF has added Anchorage Digital as an additional custodian to diversify risk, according to a Sixth Amendment to the Master Custody Service Agreement signed on September 29, 2026. The move comes as the fund continues to grow, with Anchorage Digital now safeguarding a portion of its components alongside primary custodian Coinbase. The fund’s manager retains discretion over asset allocation between the two custodians, emphasizing enhanced risk management.
Anchorage Digital provides U.S.-based key storage and insurance coverage, with related custodian fees covered by the fund’s manager. The decision aligns with the fund’s strategy to mitigate risk as it expands, ensuring robust safeguards for its assets. The original agreement was filed with the SEC on October 5, 2026.
