Grayscale has announced a 3-for-1 forward split of its Zcash ETF, ZCSH. This move will increase the number of shares outstanding while decreasing the price per share.

The split is expected to make the ETF more accessible to investors as the token's value has risen about 2,800% over the last year, making it too high for some buyers. Grayscale's example illustrates this change: $3,000 in shares valued at $300 each will become 30 shares valued at $100 each.

The split is set to occur on September 28, with new shares paid out on September 29 and split-adjusted trading starting on September 30. ZCSH has pulled in over $233 million since its launch on August 25, pushing net assets to around $890 million.

Some analysts tie the move to Zcash's recent surge, which saw the token climb as high as $1,521 before falling back slightly. Matt Huang, co-founder of Paradigm, has described Zcash as a 'private complement to Bitcoin', highlighting its unique privacy features.
