Grayscale BTC Fund Sees Minimal Impact from Clarity Act Failure
The Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust (BTC) has been a popular choice for investors due to its low fee and high liquidity. At just $4.9 billion in assets, it offers an attractive combination of cost and accessibility. In comparison, the MSBT fund charges one basis point less but is significantly less liquid.
The recent failure of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R. 3633) to pass through the US Senate had a limited impact on Bitcoin prices, with BTC essentially unaffected. The market sold off assets that depended on classification, leaving those that didn't untouched.
The Grayscale fund holds around 62,900 bitcoins today, representing a growth of 30% over nine months. This means its value is not directly tied to the price of Bitcoin.
