Grayscale Cuts XRP Stake by Nearly 27% Amid Redemptions and Rebalancing
Grayscale's XRP position in its CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF has dropped by nearly 27% to 12.3 million tokens, according to a recent SEC filing.
The reduction from 16.87 million XRP held at the end of June 2025 is significant, but it doesn't necessarily mean Grayscale sold off the assets due to market fluctuations.
A closer look at the numbers reveals that the fund received approximately 3 million XRP in contributions, while around 7.44 million were redeemed during fiscal year 2026.
Additionally, portfolio rebalancing added a net of 11,912 XRP, and the fund recorded $28.01 million in unrealized depreciation on XRP during the year.
