Grayscale Launches First-Ever Zcash ETF as Token Hits Eight-Year High
Grayscale has launched its first-ever Zcash ETF, trading under the ticker ZCSH on NYSE Arca. This development comes just days after the ZEC token price reached an eight-year high of $867.
The new ETF is a conversion of Grayscale's existing Zcash Trust, which had over $313 million in assets under management before its transformation. This move provides investors with direct exposure to ZEC through traditional brokerage accounts.
Grayscale has previously converted several of its crypto trusts into ETFs, including those for Bitcoin and Ethereum. The firm has been expanding its offerings following a legal battle with the U.S. SEC over spot crypto ETFs.
The launch of the Zcash ETF coincides with significant upgrades to the ZEC network's security and accounting mechanisms in response to a critical vulnerability discovered earlier this year.
