Grayscale Nears NYSE Arca Listing for Litecoin Trust ETF
Grayscale has taken another step towards converting its Litecoin Trust into a Litecoin ETF. The company submitted an S-3/A filing on September 11, which outlines plans to rename the instrument Grayscale Litecoin Trust ETF and list it on NYSE Arca.
The proposed conversion follows a process that began in January 2025, when NYSE Arca submitted a Rule 19b-4 application for approval of listing shares of the instrument. As of September 11, the SEC had not approved the application, leaving the exchange-listing process as a key regulatory hurdle.
Grayscale's Litecoin Trust was founded in January 2018 and is currently available as an over-the-counter instrument with the LTCN ticker. The trust has a significant discount problem, with maximum premiums of up to 5,893% and discounts of up to 67%. On September 9, LTCN closed at $4.01, representing an 8% discount to its net asset value.
