Pi Token Rebounds 7% Amid Anticipation of v21 Protocol Upgrade
The Pi Network's (PI) token has experienced a significant rebound after plummeting nearly 50% in just three days. On March 20, PI surged past $0.19, marking a 7% increase from its previous low.
This price whiplash follows a series of protocol updates, including the recent v20.2 upgrade that laid the groundwork for smart contract support. The next upgrade, v21, has been announced but details remain scarce. In a post on X, the Pi Network Core Team urged node operators to keep their systems current.
The token's price was boosted by Kraken's announcement to list PI on March 13, sending it to a five-month high near $0.30. However, once trading went live, a sell-the-news event triggered a multi-day slide that dragged the price back down.
