Grayscale Seeks SEC Approval for First US Spot Zcash ETF
Grayscale has filed its fifth amendment to convert its existing Zcash Trust into The Zcash ETF, which will be listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCH. This move brings the trust closer to a conventional ETF structure and allows investors to gain regulated market access to Zcash through traditional brokerage accounts.
The proposed fund will charge an annual sponsor fee of 2.5% and issue shares continuously at prices linked to the spot market price of Zcash. Bank of New York Mellon will serve as transfer agent, while Coinbase Custody Trust Company will safeguard the fund's Zcash holdings.
Grayscale's latest filing is a significant step towards launching the first U.S. spot exchange-traded fund tied directly to Zcash, which could broaden regulated crypto adoption and influence market dynamics for this privacy-focused asset.
