Grayscale Unveils First-Ever Exchange-Traded Product Dedicated to Zcash
Grayscale has launched the first exchange-traded product (ETP) dedicated to Zcash, called ZCSH. This new fund allows investors to access Zcash exposure via normal brokerage accounts, without needing to store private keys or manage direct token ownership.
Zcash shares many characteristics with Bitcoin, including a capped supply of 21 million units and a halving schedule that gradually reduces new issuance. However, it differs in its privacy technology, which enables shielded transactions using cryptographic design to keep information secure.
The ZCSH fund is structured as an ETP and not as a traditional investment company registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940. Grayscale cautions that the product has a tremendous amount of volatility and risk, and investors may lose part or all of their investment.
