A hacker exploited a governance vulnerability in Term Labs' protocol on July 13, 2025, draining approximately $8.5 million in cryptocurrency.

The attacker deposited 300 ETH, worth around $741,000, into Tornado Cash in three separate transactions to obscure the trail of the stolen assets.

Tornado Cash is a popular mixing service that breaks the on-chain link between source and destination addresses, making it difficult for investigators to track funds.
