Grayscale's CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF saw a significant reduction in its XRP holdings over the past year. According to Grayscale's latest annual filing with the SEC, the fund ended the fiscal period ending June 30, 2026, with 12.30 million XRP, down from 16.87 million XRP in the previous year.

This represents a decline of approximately 27.1% in XRP holdings over the same period. The fair value of Grayscale's XRP holdings also dropped by about 67%, falling from around $39.14 million to $12.83 million.

The change in XRP holdings was not solely due to direct sales or bearish bets on the asset, but rather a combination of factors. During the fiscal year, the fund received approximately 3.00 million XRP in new contributions and distributed about 7.44 million XRP through redemptions.

The Crypto 5 ETF's total net assets dropped to around $308.96 million at the end of fiscal 2026, down from $777.22 million a year earlier. Despite this reduction, XRP remains the fourth-largest holding in the fund, making up about 4.15% of its portfolio.
