Grayscale's Zcash ETF Launches on NYSE Arca with Spot ZEC Exposure
Grayscale's Zcash ETF began trading on NYSE Arca on August 25. The fund offers spot exposure to the zcash token (ZEC), a digital asset designed for private, decentralized value transfer.
The Securities and Exchange Commission registered the vehicle under Section 12(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, identifying NYSE Arca as the exchange on which it would trade. The ETF's shares were previously quoted on the OTCQX marketplace under the same ticker and sold to accredited investors.
Grayscale Head of Index Steve Vanourny stated that demand for genuine financial privacy will grow with AI reshaping financial activity. He believes Zcash has a compelling long-term role to play, making its token accessible through an exchange-traded product structure.
