Grayscale's Zcash ETF to Undergo 3-for-1 Share Split Amid ZEC Price Surge
Grayscale's Zcash ETF will undergo a significant change as it prepares to execute a 3-for-1 share split. This move comes after Zcash (ZEC) has seen a substantial price surge of approximately 25% in just one week.
The fund, which is listed on the NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH, will issue two additional shares for every original share held by investors as of the record date of September 28. This means that shareholders will end up with three shares for each original share after the split.
The adjustment will be effective before trading opens on September 30 and will not change the total value of each investor's position, but it will reduce the per-share value of ZCSH.
It is worth noting that this development coincides with increased mining activity in the Zcash network. The solrate has risen significantly as more miners join in, indicating growing interest in the cryptocurrency and supporting market momentum.
