Grayscale's Zcash Spot ETF Launches on NYSE Arca Amid Rising Demand for Privacy Tools
Grayscale's Zcash Spot ETF has launched on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH, marking the first time a US-regulated exchange-traded product has offered spot exposure to a privacy coin.
The listing converts Grayscale's nine-year-old Zcash Trust into a fund that gives investors direct exposure to ZEC, holding roughly $304 million in assets under management. This move is seen as a bet on rising demand for privacy tools, according to Grayscale's Head of Index, Steve Vanourny.
The ETF charges a 2.50% annual management fee, with all revenue directed toward Zcash ecosystem development and marketing. This structure is unusual compared to other Wall Street products, highlighting the unique approach Grayscale has taken with this fund.
