Greece Seeks Bidders for $472M Digital Identity System

Greece has launched a massive tender to deliver a new digital identity system worth over $472.8 million, aiming to create a secure and compliant platform for its citizens. The contract includes the production of ID cards for both Greek police and citizens as part of an Integrated Information System for Security Documents (OPSEA).

The project will cover the entire production and issuance cycle for security forms, including data collection, application management, document personalization, and quality control.

Greece estimates that producing and running the system will cost around $586.3 million, with a deadline to deliver within 18 months.
