Greek Firms Added to EU Crypto Register as Binance Withdraws from Greece
Four crypto firms in Greece have appeared on the European Union's interim MiCA register. BCASH SOCIETE ANONYME, XENIOS BLOCKCHAIN GROUP S.A., CAPITAL WALLET GREECE S.A., and PIRAEUS BANK Société Anonyme (S.A.) are listed as authorized service providers.
The register update dated Sept. 24, 2026, shows that BCASH was authorized on June 30, 2026, to exchange crypto-assets for funds. XENIOS and Capital Wallet received authorization on July 22, 2026. XENIOS is authorized to receive and transmit crypto-asset orders for clients, while Capital Wallet's listed services include custody, crypto-asset exchange, order execution, order reception and transmission, and transfers.
Piraeus Bank is also listed in the register but does not have an authorization date or service scope provided. Binance withdrew its MiCA application with the Hellenic Capital Market Commission on June 24, stating it would pursue authorization in another European Union member state.
