Grok's $110 Million Whale Prediction for Dogecoin Faces Bearish Headwinds
The AI chatbot Grok from xAI has made a price prediction for Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) to end October at $0.101, based on $110 million in whale purchases made in late September.
This forecast suggests an increase of around 12% from its current price near $0.09. However, the model's predictions don't include a precise error margin, and even a single move in Bitcoin's (CRYPTO:BTC) price could quickly alter these projections.
The market doesn't seem to align with Grok's predictions, as Dogecoin has fallen 4.7% within a 24-hour period to approximately $0.09, slipping below the critical threshold of $0.093 identified by the model.
Whale wallets accumulated about 1.14 billion DOGE, valued at $110 million to $112 million, over a few days in late September, but this doesn't confirm purchases, as an exchange could move coins into cold storage or a fund might shuffle tokens among its own accounts.
The continuous issuance of new Dogecoin coins contributes to a bearish outlook for the coin, with 5.3 billion new coins added every year, worth roughly $475 million at current prices.
