GSR Adjusts Crypto Portfolio Amid Market Slowdown

GSR, a firm that manages crypto portfolios, made significant changes to its Core3 model portfolio. The move came as the market experienced lower volatility and softer trading volumes over the past week. Bitcoin's allocation was increased while Ether exposure was reduced.

The year-to-date performance of all three assets remains negative: Bitcoin is down 24.82%, Ether has declined by 35.49%, and Solana has dropped 40.21%. GSR's Core3 model portfolio, which tracks these assets using quantitative investment signals, lost 57.78% over the past year.

The firm cited limited short-term price differences in its decision to adjust the allocation. However, it noted that other assets within the model showed stronger forward-looking signals. The updated allocation reflected this shift in market conditions.
