GTA 6 Hacker Demands $168,860 Monero Payment for Contact
The GTA 6 hacker, known as CyberLeek, is demanding a massive payment in Monero (XMR) to make contact. The hacker created an option for people to pay $168,860, equivalent to 400 XMR at press time on August 24, for a personalized ad spot during the next leak stream via Session's privacy instant messaging platform.
CyberLeek also promotes their own meme coin called CYBERLEEK, which has seen a significant surge in value, up nearly 39,000% in the last week. The hacker claims that the higher the cryptocurrency's market capitalization goes, the more footage of GTA 6 will be released.
The operation has been described as a get-rich-quick scheme, but CyberLeek claims their goal is to punish the gaming industry for its anti-consumer practices. However, most journalists and gamers remain skeptical about the hacker's intentions.
