GTA 6 Leaks Meet Resistance from Consumer Rights Group
A group calling itself CyberLeek has leaked several minutes of what appears to be genuine Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay footage, attaching QR codes and crypto links promoting a memecoin.
The leak was met with swift action from Take-Two Interactive, which issued DMCA takedown notices against the footage. Stop Killing Games, a consumer rights movement, weighed in on the situation, warning supporters not to send money to CyberLeek and distancing itself from their methods.
CyberLeek's manifesto framed the leak as a pro-consumer act, citing Rockstar Games' decision to release GTA 6 as code-in-a-box without a physical disc. The group threatened other publishers with similar treatment if they followed suit.
Stop Killing Games Director General Moritz Katzner stated that shared talking points do not equal shared methods and urged followers to channel their frustration into constructive action rather than supporting CyberLeek's actions.
