GTA VI Leaker Defies Take-Two Interactive with Cryptocurrency-Backed Leaks

Share

A persistent hacker known as CyberLeek has once again stolen the spotlight by releasing unauthorized clips of Grand Theft Auto VI, drawing lots of attention just days before Rockstar Games' planned official showcase on Netflix.

The latest videos include a message from the leaker defending their actions and pushing back against mounting criticism over their commercial approach to leaking.

CyberLeek's campaign was initially believed to be motivated by opposition to Rockstar's all-digital release strategy, but it has since been revealed that every leaked clip contains a QR code directing users to purchase cryptocurrency. The scheme generated thousands of dollars in a matter of days, and the hacker has begun selling ad space.

CyberLeek defended their actions by stating that they are fighting for players and that the cryptocurrency sales merely cover operational costs. They urged fans to protest against Rockstar Games and to use crypto as a way to support them.
