GTA VI Leaks Continue Amid Crypto Scam Allegations
A hacker known as CyberLeek has been leaking Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay videos for seven days, despite Take-Two Interactive's lawsuits to stop them.
The leaked videos show gameplay with the character Jason stealing cars and robbing gas stations, along with story cutscenes. Each video is watermarked with an advertisement for CyberLeek's own cryptocurrency token and a manifesto against digital futures.
CyberLeek claims that the gaming industry wants to take away players' rights to resell games, but analysts consider this action to be an ordinary crypto scam.
Take-Two Interactive has sent DMCA subpoenas to various platforms, including X (Twitter), Microsoft, Discord, and GitHub, demanding the identification of users involved in distributing stolen content. The company is also cooperating with Rockstar Games and Xbox to protect creative works and intellectual property.
