Gunzilla Games' Off the Grid is a free-to-play cyberpunk battle royale that runs on the GUNZ blockchain, an Avalanche Layer 1 network. The game topped the Epic Games Store's free-to-play chart within days of early access and reached PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC before expanding to Steam in July 2025.

The game features blockchain-powered item ownership through the GUNZ marketplace, where players can buy and sell items as tradable NFTs. Gunzilla secured $30 million in funding co-led by CoinFund and Avalanche's Blizzard Fund, adding to an earlier $46 million equity round.

Gunzilla Games turned a AAA battle royale into one of the most-watched Web3 gaming experiments of 2025. The GUN token launched on Binance in March 2025 with a total supply of 10 billion tokens and 604.5 million circulating at debut. A Layer 1 network called GUNZ handles on-chain transactions behind the scenes.
