Hack VC Partner Hsin-Ju Chuang Dies in Car Incident at 37

Hsin-Ju Chuang, a former partner at cryptocurrency venture firm Hack VC, has passed away at age 37. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner confirmed that she died on August 24th in a car incident on Interstate 15.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Chuang had previously worked as head of growth at Stellar and Solana, and founded Dystopia Labs. She joined Hack VC in 2021 as a venture partner before becoming a partner and head of platform in 2025.

Hack VC co-founder Alexander Pack expressed shock and sadness over Chuang's death, saying the firm was unaware of the circumstances surrounding her passing. He added that the company had not spoken directly with Chuang for more than 10 months.
