Hackers Strike Three Projects, Steal $2.25M in Tokens

A black hat hacker has made off with $2.25 million in realized profits by stealing hundreds of millions of tokens from three separate projects: Fetch.ai, NuNet, and SingularityNET.

The hack occurred over a period of hours, with the attacker first draining 8.7 million FET tokens from Fetch.ai's bridge and minting 400 million of NuNet's NTX token.

The hacker then exploited the SingularityNET bridge, minting 900 million AGIX tokens, as well as 500 million each of World Mobile Chain's WMTx and Cogito's CGV. However, due to extremely thin liquidity, the sale of the CGV tokens returned a mere $30.

The attacker sold Fetch.ai's FET tokens for 523 ETH (approximately $1.2 million), generating the lion's share of their gains. The subsequent sales of the other four tokens returned just 183 ETH ($420,000).
